    Easy ways to start your health journey!

    First, Veganuary started 1/1/2025. But it is not too late to join this great program as you can join anytime! This 100% free program starts with a 31-day email journey and includes resources such as meal plans, nutritional advice, and more. It encourages everyone to go vegan and we encourage everyone to try it. Plus, did we mention they have amazing recipes too? :)

    It's a new year, and if you are reading this, we know you are ready to improve your health with great-tasting and nutritious meals! But not many people understand how to maintain new health habits, and that is why we wrote this blog just for you.

    Here are some tips to help you start on your journey to health:

    • Plan Your Meals:

      Weekly Meal Prep: Prepare your meals in advance to ensure you have nutritious options readily available. Of course, we have several meal plans!

      Explore Recipes: Try new vegan recipes to keep your meals exciting and diverse. You can try our recipes or search the web for "vegan recipes." We can also help you with the staples to fill your pantry, including fresh fruit boxes or vegetable boxes.
       
    • Stock Your Pantry:

      Staples: Keep a variety of vegan staples like beans, lentils, grains, nuts, seeds, and spices. We offer a range of super-nutritious staples to help your meals.

      Snacks: Have healthy vegan snacks on hand for when cravings hit. And yes we also have delicious and nutritious snacks.
       
    • Educate Yourself:

      Nutrition: Learn about the nutrients you need and how to get them from plant-based sources. We discuss nutrition on our nutrition blogs and we also highlight the latest studies and trends.

      Labels: Read labels carefully to avoid hidden animal products. Need more information? You can always search the internet or ask questions in vegan groups on Facebook.
       
    • Join a Community:

      Plant-based Groups: Connect with other vegans online or in person for support and inspiration. There are many groups on Facebook that you can ask questions to. In addition, many recipes are floating around the groups and you will be inspired to try more delicious food.

      Events: Attend vegan events, potlucks, and festivals to meet like-minded people. You can also meet others at various points in their health journey!
       
    • Stay Motivated:

      Set Goals: Remind yourself why you chose to go plant-based and set achievable goals. Not sure you can keep your goals by yourself? Try our meal plans.

      Document Progress: Keep a journal of your vegan journey to track your progress and celebrate milestones. Remember, you might not see progress right away, as everybody changes at different times. In addition, remember progress for some people might not be strength, but better digestion, or just not feeling tired. So you can identify and track different health goals.
       
    • Find Substitutes:

      Alternatives: Discover vegan alternatives for your favorite non-vegan foods. You can find many lists of alternatives on the web.

      Experiment: Experiment with different brands and recipes to find what you like best.
       
    • Be Patient:

      Gradual Changes: If you slip up, don't be too hard on yourself. Focus on making gradual, sustainable changes. Remember even if you slip up, just go back to eating healthy food!
       
    • Resources:

      Cookbooks: Invest in a good vegan cookbook. Of course, the web is full of thousands of free recipes too. Just browse and enjoy.

      Websites: Follow vegan blogs and websites for inspiration and recipes.
       
    • Support:

      Friends & Family: Let your loved ones know about your decision and ask for their support. And, who knows? Maybe they will be motivated to improve their health too. Of course, sharing meals is an easy way to support each other!

      Local Stores: Find local stores and restaurants that offer vegan options. And if they don't offer much, you can ask them to carry more plant-based options.
